iPhone X Should I upgrade x to xs max

hey guys, was given a replacement 256gb SG set. Was wondering if I should wait for 2019 or get the xs max.

Maybe the 12.9 iPad Pro if I chose to wait.

Any pros to upgrade now then? On the fence since the x is technically a new set.

Do you need dual SIM? (Eventually!) Or is media consumption your primary use case?

If not, probably wait.
