Should I wait for the store to carry them?

Should I wait for the store to carry the Apple Watches (reportedly in the next couple weeks) to get one or should I got ahead and order it?

I'm looking at the SG BSB 42mm - I went to the store and tried on the SS 42mm BSB and the SG, but I liked the SG a lot better. SS just seemed too flashy for me, so I'm going to pass on that for now.

What would you all suggest? I'm sure the SG is one of the most popular ones so the store may not even have any once they start carrying them, although I live in a place where I wouldn't think any of them would be popular. Just wondering, the people who have ordered this model in the last couple days what's your shipping status at?

They will be in the stores in a couple of weeks but I think choice will be limited to what is available. I would order on line as now the initial demand is over, I do t think you will have to wait for more than a couple of weeks
 
You can always order online, then cancel the order if you find one in store first. Just stay on top of the order shipping. Even if they ship the same day you find one in store, you can return one of them.
 
That's probably a good idea. I hopefully will order one tonight :) had my girlfriend convinced she needed one too, but she backed out yesterday haha.
 
shipping time says 2-3 weeks but i ordered a stainless steel with the black sports band on 5/28 and it was delivered today
 
You guys are a bad influence! Haha. Ordered :D

Wow.. that's less than 2 weeks right there.. Apple really screwed the people who waited 6+ weeks!!

Are you saying that Apple should make everyone wait 6+ weeks just to be fair? I ordered on June 1 and my 42mm SS BSB is arriving on June 11. The way I see it, I've been waiting for my watch since April 10, just like everyone else. The person who waits until they're in stores will wait even longer than I did, but some people will be mad that someone can saunter into the store and walk out with one.
 
I ordered a 38mm SG BSB on Monday (June 8th) and it's delivering tomorrow. It said shipping in 5-7 business days with an estimated delivery of June 22-24, then this morning it updated to June 15-17, and by 2pm I got a notification that it had been shipped and that the expected delivery date was June 10th.
 
I ordered a SS WSB on 5/30 and it arrived today, in only 10 days. It said expected delivery was 2-3 weeks so I am thrilled it shipped out early. I think Apple has ramped up production greatly over the past few weeks in time for retail launch.
 
I tell you what I have seen more than anything ...

eBay sellers dropping the prices like a rock this past week. A 42mm sport @ $399 retail plus tax is about $440.. I have seen many go for $500 shipped and from sellers with huge 100% feedback. It was only couple of weeks back they were flying out @ $799+

Take a look now and you can find the $700+ sellers but theres PLENTY to be had for $500-$550 for those who won't wait a couple of weeks at this point.

For $60 and get it in 3 days is not bad but what it shows is that they see Apple catching up quick and that stores will have them soon.

Chill out. Not saying anything to be fair. Life is always not fair in some way. At least you didn't get a August delivery when you ordered on June 1st.
