Yea it's for sure hard to put down. I got a Bluetooth keyboard/folio as well for it and it's really made it pretty much a laptop replacement. I now have an iPod,iPhone, ipad, and a Apple TV... Now I just need a MacBook. Still not sure about leaving a windows. PC tho..... It's a hate but needed relationship.

Best Buy is selling the MBA for $649 if you are a student. It's in the blog forum.

Yea I seen that about the best buy MacBook sale.... I work from home and my employer only allows windows remote connections at this point. No support yet for anything Apple.however I could probably use the boot amp method. Would I be able to duel boot? Like if I want osX one day I can boot up in that but if I need windows for work the next day I could boot up in that? Never owned a Mac so it would be my first so I apologize for not knowing how bootcamp works exactly.

Yes, bootcamp is for dual booting. You can switch operating system as easily as just rebooting your computer. You could switch every half hour, or every five minutes, if you wanted. :p

Here's an info page about bootcamp:

Thanks for the link, that's EXACTLY what I was looking for! However I was doing some research on the best buy website and seen its only for 128GB of flash memory. Way way way way too small for my needs...and the prices go WAYYYYY up for anything even near the capacity I would want.

So here is the deal. I've been an iPhone user since the 3GS. I currently have a 5S. Ever since the first iPad was announced I thought I would never get one because of price alone, but I did want one.. Well now it's 2014 and I have the ability to buy an iPad Air now. I've waited so long for an iPad and I want it so bad I can taste it, but is now not a good time to buy with Sept. Only 4 months away? So how about it? Go ahead and buy the iPad Air or wait for whatever comes out in the fall?

do you need it know. Not want it but need it.

if you don't then wait. even if you aren't particularly impressed by whatever the next round holds, the price of the outgoing will drop.

Although you've waited this long... well, my take is this.
I'm reading this forum on an iPad rMini. It is the same animal as an Air, bit smaller and more convenient to carry away from home. But, I wouldn't be on this forum hardly at all if I only had an iPhone. The iPhone doesn't allow for the full experience of this forum. Using an iPad is a fantastic experience that you are missing right now. Sure there will be a better model in 6 months but you are missing out for 6 months. I don't think the upgrade is worth waiting for if you don't already have one.

Thanks guys! I'm afraid that if I wait that long I will have used the money I've saved for this on something else, but I'll try to hold off. I know no one really knows at all, but are people expecting a big change in hardware or specs coming?

No. I don't foresee that much of a difference, unless you think the fingerprint security measures are a big deal. I don't. The current iPad Air is full of unbridled horsepower and will be able to take on ios 8 with no problems. Go ahead and get it. You won't be sorry.
