Im getting the new Touch 32GB from Apple. I won it on a penny auction, and the tracking details are preparing for shipment and the estimated delivery is 19-23rd October. I was wondering, seeing as in the UK, the iPod costs £249.99 is it worth waiting for the media event of the 23rd? What I mean is, if there will be an iPad mini, and it would be better or on par with the touch, and the price ranges show around the £300 mark, I may just return my touch unopened within the 9 days and use the £249.99 to go towards the mini.
So, when I get the touch, do you reckon i should wait till the 23rd before opening it for the mini?
How much better could it be?

It all depends on what you intend to use the device for.

if you want a device for the casual game, email, web browsing and music listening...iPod touch is for you. However, if you want a device that you want to use for work, productivity, slightly hardcore gaming, browsing, photos etc then I would advise you to wait and see if the rumoured iPad Mini is for you.
