Apple should have included iLife 08 within leopard. Here's why:

They would have had extra time to tighten it up, so far i like iLife 08, but it seems rushed in some areas (same with iWork but thats for another thread)

It would have allowed tigher and probably better integration within OSX.

It would bennifit apple, by allowing more people to purchase Leopard if it were included.

It should have been $199 for Leopard w/ iLife Included. No $129 version. This way, you get the best of both worlds for roughly the same price.

In October, I've got to buy 8 licenses of Leopard for work. None of those machines will have any iLife apps installed on them. I prefer to opt-in by purchasing extras, rather than not having the choice to opt-out.

I don't even use iLife apps at home, except iTunes.

Do you mean that it wouldn't work with Tiger?

Many people don't use iLife (often except iTunes) and wouldn't want to pay more with Leopard...

And iTunes isn't even part of iLife anymore. It's just a free download.

The only way I could see them doing this is with a sale like: "Buy iLife '08 and Leopard, save $20."
