iTunes rename?

Since Apple Computer recently renamed themselves to Apple, Inc. because they sell more than just computers, I was thinking about iTunes and how no longer is it just a music application. As everyone knows you can download/add/watch your own movies and TV shows. So I'm thinking maybe iTunes will be renamed soon? However possibly not because iTunes is such a well known name that they might avoid it..any thoughts?

Not a chance! Apple is spending too much to promote brand awareness to rename iTunes, just because it does more than just music. I suppose you think they should rename the iPhone to the iPhoneCamMusicVideoGPSGamePlayer?

Keep the name, change the logo and GUI of the app itself, it's looking a bit stale.

edit-logo suggestion: maybe a film reel spiralling around a music note and some sort of downward pointing blue arrow superimposed.

No, they won't change the iTunes name, but they may split off the movies, tv shows and podcasts into a separate store of it's own. Then this store would require a brand new name.

iStuff 'n Nonsense

I know the iTunes brand is so widely recognisable that to abandon it would seem ludicrous but it does piss me off that the product now is not properly described by its name.

I think they could promote the name of the overall content delivery, viewing and editing suite of apps, *iLife*, to become the more appropriate brand over time, without sacrificing the benefits of the iTunes brand.....
