Is this because the TenFiveTube is no longer working properly on old Macs

The problem is with Youtube - they change how their site delivers video on a regilar basis - only relatively new machines aren't effected by this. All separate (and more efficient) Youtube players have to then be adjusted to catch up.

Ah, got it. Well, if YouTube is now working for me ok in TenFourFox, but TenFiveTube doesnt seem to handle the YouTube video any more, then would it make sense just to delete TenFiveTube from my G5?

Yes - watch the forums though, @wicknix the author will probably update it at some point. Note TenFourFox is updated regularly too.
Note the config file @z970mp has done linked above in the thread will speed up TFF and it's worth doing.

Sorry to add to the thread, realistically how much longer will a G5 quad be useful given its over 16 years old ? Or any PowerPC Mac ?
OP has a Dual 2.0 Ghz G5.

But since I have a Quad, I will answer your question.

It will remain useful as long as needs remain modest and I can still leverage more modern Macs/PCs in using it. And as far as I can tell right now, a PDF is independent of device and OS and .docx is still the standard Word format. Both of those things can be produced by my Quad.

+1 on the PDF bit. I’ve been getting into reading a lot more using Adobe Acrobat 5 on my Clamshell in OS 9.
