show all files in spotlight?

i want spotlight to reveal all files
i know of this command

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

but this reveals all files everywhere

is there a specific command for spotlight?

Don't know if it helps but you can modify Spotlight's rules to include otherwise-excluded directories and paths. Is this kinda what you're after?

Yeah, much more mad than Jew. In fact, completely mad and not at all Jewish.

If you do this, remember that Spotlight still won't be able to search within binary files and some other common system files but it should still pick up on the basics - name, location, date created, modified etc.
