i want spotlight to reveal all files
i know of this command

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

but this reveals all files everywhere

is there a specific command for spotlight?

Yeah, much more mad than Jew. In fact, completely mad and not at all Jewish. :eek:

If you do this, remember that Spotlight still won't be able to search within binary files and some other common system files but it should still pick up on the basics - name, location, date created, modified etc. :)
