From Nat Titanium to Blue
I’m thinking about Silver 🤔
He has the iPhone 17PM in blue. I remember him talking about it and the preorder he initially got silver but then got a blue due to the stock in the Apple Store was out of silver.
Reasons why I’m not upgrading to the 17 Pro:
- The scratch gate is a major concern.
- The aluminum casing detracts from the premium feel of the titanium.
- The color options are limited compared to other generations. For instance, I have a blue 15 Pro, and the blue 17 Pro is the same shade, but if you prefer desert or black titanium, what color of 17 Pro would you choose? These are narrower choices!
- The camera plateau and the placement of the Apple logo make the cases look less appealing compared to other generations.
- The MagSafe ring interferes with the logo.
It arrived today and it's pretty good. 🙂
I am 100% convinced it's from the same manufacturer as the Nomad just obviously has no etched branding on the clasp.
EDIT: It's NOT the same quality as the Nomad Stratos. The spring pins are shorter, the magnet is not as strong (though fine) and the clasp buttons are not ridged.

That’s a good looking colour. They should still have this style of strap - the Sport Loop they replaced it with is cool and all, but a very different style
Ordered 24th October, arrived 14th November.
I only had it on for a little while before removing as I'm not keen on how easy it is to unfasten. It won't undo on its own but I did find I accidently pressed both the buttons when repositioning causing it to undo & come off. Worried I'll do that and the watch dropping to the floor.
Quality is pretty good. I have the Graphite steel watch band from Nomad with the same magnetic clasp. That also is easy to unfasten but for some reason didn't bother me when I wore that.
Finally joined the Ultra family, Black Titanium (with Black Ocean Band - not pictured). Coming from Silver Series 4.
No they are totally different. I have both. The Nomad is actual titanium. The pins are 50% larger on the Nomad. The end links and links are a different design on both. The magnet is twice as strong on the Nomad. The finish is actual DLC on the Nomad. Also the finish on the Nomad matches the watch precisely with its satin finish. The AliExpress one has a flat matte finish.
Yep, I looked into the Nomad a bit more a few days ago and found all that you have said.
I did think about returning but with the shipping not refunding and sending at my cost I thought I may as well keep it and give it to whoever buys the watch when I update next year.

I only have the Wowband strap, my comments on the Nomad are from closely looking at photos and YouTube videos.
I like the Nomad Stratos but I don't £150 like it so won't be buying.
The Wowband is fine at a third of the Nomad price but I do see the differences.

What is so special about this Nomad Stratos or similar band compared to Apple titanium milanese?

Yes, Nomad and similar ones are heavier, but 60 grams isn't all that much!
