My boyfriend and I went to London at the weekend. We've never been despite living in the UK all our lives ha. He won a competition and we got a 2 night stay at a hotel plus a London eye VIP trip along with some other touristy stuff. We also got £300 spending money and wanted to use it on something that we could take home to remember the trip by.
So...
We ended up halving the money and putting it towards an Apple Watch Sport each!
Not very exciting pictures sadly, but thought I'd share all the same! I have tiny wrists so opted for the 38, boyfriend went for the 42.
I wasn't excited or interested in them really but when we were there we went to Covent Garden and spent ages looking at them, trying them on before deciding. We have 14 days to take them back but we both absolutely love them.
For me, it's great being able to see my messages and notifications at work where we are not allowed personal mobile phones out at all. Data protection and all that due to cameras. So this is perfect.
I find myself using it as a watch with added perks, and not with the mindset of it replacing my phone, which is the wrong thing to do with technology like this.
Massively impressed. Now I just need to talk myself out of returning it for the Apple Watch with Millanese Loop as that's the one I really want!
So a quick update.
The Apple Watch has gone back...
Stay with me... haha. Basically I decided to send it back to get a full refund within the 14 days as I want the SS model.
It's more pricey so I'm going to have to wait until I get paid again but I'd rather have a full refund than wait until I had the money and have to sell it at a loss.
It's been day one without the watch and I already miss it like crazy and I'm driving myself insane. Sat at work, waiting for a phone call and checking my phone (locked away in my drawers) every. 15. minutes.!!! Driving myself mad.
I can't tell you how much the watch has made me more productive in work but stopping me checking my phone all the time. Seeing the red '1' above a number of apps and having to go through them all to check what they are and wasting 10 minutes in the process seems like an old world task after having all the notifications direct to my wrist the past week or so!
Pay day can't come soon enough so I can indulge once more! Decided on SS as I just feel like it goes with more bands - particularly the leather and metal bands which just don't look as great on the Sport model IMO.
I'm really not sure what to go for. I'm a watch guy and appreciate the details and materials on a nice watch (rocking the solid and affordable SKX007 Seiko with custom Super Oyster at the moment)
Should I go with my sensible side and jump on the SGS which looks cool and all in all is the best option at the moment when considering the price of a 1st gen product
Or should I follow my "watch heart and jump on a SS Black version which no doubt feels more premium, heavier, better materials etc?

sounds like a huge pain in the ass
I know cases are frowned upon here but I think this combo looks pretty good (aside from the dirty screen).
Decided to go out today and grab the Black leather loop for my 42mm Space Black S/S Beauty. I've spent $150 on much worse things...lol
