Decided to get a Series 2, but left it too late to order through Apple, with a 3-5 week delivery date. So I was delighted to log into John Lewis website at just the right time on Thursday lunchtime - they had just three left for collection on Friday :)

So this is my 42mm rose gold Sport with the midnight blue sports strap. I have already ordered a couple of 3rd party straps to mix it up a bit - will post pics as they arrive :). Loving it so far!

In your last photo, how do you get the complication to tell the time in words "Five Past Six"?

What color band is that?
Royal blue??

This should be midnight blue

Looks more like the new ocean blue to me.

Its the Midnight Blue Sports Band for 42mm although the pic makes it look a lot lighter than it is in real life!!

I used to have a stainless steel AW, but when upgrading to the series 2 I decided to give my first AW to my partner, so I went with space black. None of the apple bands look good with it, so I bought a third party ceramic band.View attachment 659224 View attachment 659225

Can you link to that band?

Is it this one:

Apple Watch Series 2 (white sport band version). Added Third Party Milanese Band for $12.99. I am very happy with the Milanese Band and it sure beats paying the $200 for the Apple Version. I also have a light blue sport band on order that I picked up for $7.99. Love the watch.

Does anyone have suggestions for really good 42mm double loop leather bands? Something like the Hermes but for the larger watch? I am upset Apple doesn't offer it for their larger watches (Directly aiming that women should only wear it)

Nope. Done both of those. Still switches back to the workout app
The watch keeps session apps current while they're running. This includes workout, maps navigation and a few third party apps designed for similar purposes. There's currently no way to stop them from commanding the screen while they're active.

Yes, but the wording is misleading though. For example, if I choose this

It should wake to show last app opened, not work out session.

I don't even know what this selection is supposed to do.

Fair point. You're right, it is misleading. Maybe they'll alter that in the next release. I wonder if someone running the latest beta can comment on it?

I just got my $250 38mm 1st gen link bracelet Apple Watch! Fits perfect after taking 3 links off. There's a nice little pouch for the links included and a cleaning cloth.

Sheesh. I might want to buy a second watch instead of paying full price for only a bracelet. Heck of a deal you scored.
Incredible deal. If only they had the 42mm. I would have bought one for my kid and keep the link band. I've been waffling between picking up a Nike version as a second watch or getting the Space Black SS 42mm and giving my son the 42mm SS and a few of my bands... but not the link :)
