The weather is turning hot here in Austin and I’ve been wanting something that is a bit more breathable than the sport band (even the Nike version) to go with my SBSS. So, I grabbed an Alaskan Blue sport loop in the recent Best Buy sale. I have always avoided the sport loops because I felt the flexibility of the band and the asymmetry created by the loop folding over made them look a little “sloppy”. But, my wife keeps talking about how comfortable her’s is. So, I decided to give one a try. Absolutely love the colors, which really compliment the Solar Dial face (one of my favorites). Still don’t love the loop style, but it definitely is the most comfortable band I have ever owned. This will probably become my go-to for the rest of quarantine and around the house afterward.

Also found an unopened black woven nylon on ebay for $15. Really surprised by how much I like this band! It’s not quite as comfortable as the sport loop. But, it’s close and I like the traditional look better. Might even wear this one to work on casual Fridays whenever I get to go back into my office. It makes me a bit sad Apple abandoned this style in favor of the sport loop. Already looking for a good deal on a Tahoe Blue now!

I’m going to say they are gardening or lawn care of some kind based on the type of glove.

Yeah, actually I didn't see the top of the picture. I saw the bottom half with the glove, and the material of the glove kind of looks like the material is similar to the material on muay thai hand-wraps. Then I saw the concrete blocks. I thought she might have been practicing Shaolin Iron Fist.

That's an interesting background there. May I ask what you were doing?

Yeah that’s a raised bed garden my husband through together, we had a bunch of those blocks lying around. I was doing the less fun chore or raking and picking up old crunchy leaves and yard debris! My mother in law handed me the gloves to use and I had a chuckle when I saw how well it all went together.

Once again, my sneakers are a close match to my watch. S4 Hermes blanc and cape cod typeface with grapefruit sport band.

Oh man, I’ve never wanted a Hermès so much before 🤤. I’m gonna get the grapefruit band once I can stomach $49, seen too many examples of it I like! I love the silver stainless here too, I’ve got gold stainless right now but this makes me think..

The gold stainless is gorgeous! That's what I would have picked if I didn't buy the Hermes. Bands are pricey; I never bought one band for my Series 0. The grapefruit is very nice IRL, a great spring/summer neutral color. Up next for me is Surf Blue 💙

Can we all just pool our prayers and hope a gold Hermes is next?

Is the Hermes a stainless version with exclusive faces and a nice strap or is there other benefits? I’ve never really looked into it.

You also get 2 years of warranty (or 3 w/Apple Care) vs. 1 (or 2 w/Apple Care). And the exclusive Hermes Orange Sport band.

That must depend on the country then in regards to the warranty. I get 2 years on every AW where I live. Thanks for clearing this up though.

Apple warranty for the regular Watches is 1 year, world wide (AFAIK). Ir you’re in the EU (like me), there is always 2 years of what is called in german „Gewährleistung“; which is not quite the same as warranty.

It does cover faults for up to 2 years though and I’ve never had an issue getting replacements of iPhones and other electronics past the first year. Retailers in the UK like John Lewis also offer 2 year warranties as standard on Apple Watches, iPhones and iPads which is decent.
