Series 6 40 mm Space Black Titanium with the Charcoal Braided Sports Loop. The band is remarkably comfortable! Ordered a size 5 using the print-out measuring tape and the band is an excellent fit. Upgrading from a stainless steel series 3 38mm, the speed difference just from the set-up process is astounding. Loving it so far :)

That's one of the few pics I've seen that doesn't have a gap where the braided loop connects to the watch! That looks really good. I wonder if it's just the 44mm that has the gaps?

So in the end I cancelled my graphite order. Could not justify spending $800 just for the new stainless color and minor upgrades. This series 5 SBSS will serve me right until hopefully a redesign series 7. However I did keep my charcoal sport loop order haha!

Charcoal Gray Leather Loop still one of my fav!

I thought the same thing! Is there no gap or is it just not noticeable on a black or blue Watch? Anyway, my 44mm braided loop had a very noticeable gap on my aluminum Watch.

S6 Aluminum Nike Edition 44mm

Wish the purple strap was a liiiiiitle more purple, but I dig it regardless. Coming form Series 3 38 mm, I was self-conscious it would wear too big, but comparing it to some of my other watches in my mechanical collection, this wears fine.

Infograph is a revelation.

I’m not sure what you mean exactly by gap, but the band seems to fit very snugly. There’s no wiggle or anything 🤷‍♂️

The ends of the lug on the braided loop do not go all the way to the body of the Watch, exposing an indentation. The lugs are too short, so there’s an awkward transition to the Watch. This is not how the braided loop is represented on Apple’s site and is different from the Sport bands and Sport Loops. There’s a good photo in this post that’s better than the crappy photo of my watch. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/solo-loop-sizing-accuracy.2255194/post-28919354
(Note also in that photo how the metal of the lug is showing—a separate issue.)
The build quality of the braided loop was not acceptable to me. I thought mine was just defective but now I’ve seen several user photos showing the gap.

Am I the only person that is not impressed by the new watch? I had a series 4 and I updated it to the new ios7 the other night. My new series 6 came yesterday and it’s the same watch. It’s not thinner, it’s not lighter, it’s not sleeker...side by side it’s the same. I don’t know what I was expecting but I feel like I should have just kept my old one 😞

Why were you expecting the form to be any different? It’s the tech thats changed. I swapped from a 4 to a 6 and love the AOD it makes the watch feel like a proper watch now, no more nudging the screen into life.

If I had a 44mm series 4, then I wouldn’t upgrade. I have a 40mm series 4, so the larger watch face is very nice for me. That’s why I’m upgrading.

Clearly, you have a problem.. You have to many bands, send me one. Haha.
Leather one is great for business style, silicon dark blue and 2nd picture, red one is great for me.

Just got mine 44mm SS Graphite and ordered a black leather loop on the side (also had the brown leather loop with my first SS S0 AW 2015 and like the formal look of it) and I also really liked this combo. Graphite looks darker IRL than on photos.

I couldn't agree more, was thinking about upgrading, but will wait until next year and hopefully a new design. Series 4 Nike Edition with Surf Blue Sport Loop. Looks great and on OS7 seems a lot faster.
