I think because the braided loops are stretched to get over your hand, it pulls the lugs towards the lip of the case. If you push the band back in towards the screen, once on your wrist, there is a quiet clicking sound and visible metal strip on the lug vanishes back 'inside' the watch.

Today I took delivery of a cheap 2020 pride sport band knockoff I ordered 4 months ago on eBay. It’s a shame, the size is too small (one of the ill effects of having big wrists and using a 40 mm watch).

I would agree with that. But outdoors, in light, the blue really comes out of the band.

Got mine off Amazon and I have big wrists and it fits very well and is good quality.

Wow, that seems like a great deal. I have a knockoff link bracelet but mine doesn't have the buttons in the inside of the links and just uses the old pin system.
A plain black band - This one was 4 quid and compared to my original apple silicon band that came with my S6 I cant tell any difference in the looks or feel of it - tempted to get a few more now

AW6. Is it just me, or is the screen 'larger' than the AW3SS or the AW4?

Ah, makes sense. I have been wearing my AW3, for the last week or so. The AW4, was sent to Apple a few weeks ago.AW3, not just you. AW4 yes, you're imagining things.

Screen on the Series 4 onwards is a nice step up in size, my Series 3 feels a lot smaller compared to Series 6 which I am enjoying.
That is a nice combo, also had no idea the leather loop was so short on one side! logical when I think about it 😁
Considering I lose the weight of my AW3SS, I do like the screen being larger!
