This is SBSS. Though, I might give @JBlass421 suggestion to pair the link bracelet with a SBTi a try once the mail gets here tomorrow 🙃Nice. What case is that. Graphite, SBTi, SBSS? Thanks.
A while back, I said I wished for a jet black ceramic similar to the jet black iPhone...would be gorgeous.PLOT TWIST: Apple throws out a SPACE BLACK CERAMIC

I have the S3 gray ceramic and now the S5 white, as well as an S5 in SBSS. I'm not sure how excited I'd be with a ceramic that is a colour or black.
Yes; ceramic is tougher than DLC on steel, but DLC is pretty resilient in itself and certainly for my personal experience of having worn an Apple Watch daily since I received my S0 ordered on the day "try ons" started, the only physical damage I've ever done has been to Aluminium models I was forced to buy from S3 until New Zealand finally got an LTE provider early in the S5 lifecycle. SS does pick up micro scratches, but it's easy enough to buff them out at home with a polishing cloth.
I like my S3 ceramic in gray and have worn it very occasionally (I'm a rabid fan of AOD, and also tend to use the faces that only work on S4 and later almost exclusively, so for me to use an S3 at all when I had 2 S5s to choose from is a big deal). I got it for a very good price in excellent condition with all the pack-ins from eBay Australia however, and I don't see I'd pay the ceramic asking price for one new in that colour.
I'm also personally not a fan of coloured Watches. Besides being aluminium which I have found to pick up marks - especially on the Ion X glass - they are too restrictive in what they can be worn with (bands and clothing) for my personal taste, and a Watch that might look awesome with a handful of bands and outfits at the cost of the ceramic Edition is a bridge too far for me.
It's similar for me with a black ceramic - I don't think it would give me anything the SBSS doesn't to justify the extra cost - I can't see how it would be shinier, and while it might be more scratch resistant the DLC is already enough for my lifestyle at least.
That said I could be missing something, and genuinely I'd like to know if I am.
While I agree (in my longer winded reply above), ceramic is no different in size than the metal bodies. Perhaps white makes it look more bulky in photos?I don’t get the craze about Space Black Ceramic when it would look pretty much almost similar to SBSS but just a bit more bulky like the current Ceramic is.
Very much guilty as charged, but only 3 AWs? C'mon...Women: *has more than one pair of shoes*
Men: I just don't get women.
Meanwhile…
Men: *has 137 watchbands for their 3 AWs*

It is very slightly heavier than stainless steel however. Something my wife (who wears a 40mm SS) noticed immediately, but it is also noticeably heavier than my 44mm stainless S5s at least when looking for it.
I'm not seeing it IRL. I might do some comparisons later with my SS.Hey I could be wrong but the casings on the ceramic seem to have more bulk you can especially see it when bands are on it there is extra bulk and doesn’t sit flush where the bands slide in like the rest of every other casings offered. Also the body around the screen looks thicker.
Yeah there’s an extra layer, I guess because the ceramic sits on a metal core. And then you have the chamfered looking edge that ruins the washed pebble/capsule design of the normal watch for some people. @mikedop has the little info manual from the S2 edition, maybe he can finally post it in fullHey I could be wrong but the casings on the ceramic seem to have more bulk you can especially see it when bands are on it there is extra bulk and doesn’t sit flush where the bands slide in like the rest of every other casings offered. Hey hey hey I never said any such thing, I think Dark Teal is actually better if we had to choose.Space Black Stainless Steel S5 w/ Dark Teal Sport Band (though @athousandbands has proven to me Pacific’sView attachment 1717179 superiority)
I completely messed up that post, disregardHey hey hey I never said any such thing, I think Dark Teal is actually better if we had to choose.
Are you sure it's on a metal frame? I have the booklet with my S3 that I think talks about how they are made. I'll try to remember to dig it out later and see what it says about the manufacturing process.Yeah there’s an extra layer, I guess because the ceramic sits on a metal core. My Diver Blue Leather Loop arrived yesterday. I needed a band which I could wear to work with a suit, as I was gifted the Nike Apple Watch which comes with the sport band.

Yeah wait pre-coffee brain was thinking about the band pins. Doubtful they nailed the all-ceramic method as well as a 5-6 figure Swiss watch and didn’t keep it rocking two years later. The white unibody back that didn’t make it to the s5 is just as envy-inducing from the inside. Are you sure it's on a metal frame?
