OMG!!! I have a 'gold edition' iPod of that sane lineage. I love it, but it's hard to use. I love the look though.

I have a suggestion for Apple: If you want to squeeze the last couple of million dollars out of the iPod name, come up with a new one, flash based, that stores 5 terabyte (or more) and make it look like the original iPod. Seriously. There are enough people that would buy (collect) the updated original, or even an updated gold version of this vintage iPod. The iPod has a rich history of innovation, and to honor that history by introducing updated versions of those tried and true amazing versions would be so epic...

Please do it...

I very much agree Titanium is a best of both worlds thing!

There is a very real possibility that Titanium will become like Ceramic ie a Limited Edition Apple Watch if it is removed out of the lineup when Series 7 releases next month, so besides liking the material itself, I’m definitely a happy with my purchase.

Personally, I am really banking on the return of Ceramic to add to my collection and I am actually saving up for it now as seeing peoples pics here I really love it, although not confident of the odds on my gut feeling, but lets see what they announce next month :) could always be pleasantly surprised!

I would very much rather have a titanium watch than a ceramic one. Things with grains seem to not like me. Enough said...

I love the idea because nostalgia is such a powerful emotion but in reality, I'd never buy one because all of my music fits on my phone that I always have on me.

Same here, loving it's iridescent effects. The more I look at it in the sunlight it reminds me of the colors in Peacock feathers.

Lol yes or like a Jewel Beetle (don’t want to gross anyone out with the photo) but the colors are exactly like Midnight Fog. They were definitely going for the iridescent look and succeeded with that band, the way the nylon weaving glows differently in various lighting. Which is what makes it super unique!

Don’t worry I definitely sent @jeremyfernie a picture of a Japanese beetle carcass for similar reasons the other day. For a future band. I’ve always seen Midnight Fog as a peacock.

Ah, but if we get to the point where we can travel again, you are going to LOVE your iPod once again.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my iPod Touch, but wish it had a much larger capacity. I have a bunch of audiobooks and tones of audio files that I wish I could all fit on my upgraded Touch.

Sure, it could be a niche market, but a terabyte sized Touch, or *something* would be AMAZING, and a Must Have for this Matrix dweller.

Seriously, I think that Apple is missing the market for a device that would hold books, music, videos, home videos, captured audios, and all of it, and keep it either streamed, or self contained.

IF we are able to travel, on a transcon or flight to Europe, etc, you will value having 'more stuff' to listen to, or watch.

On a flight a few years ago, my iPhone died, so I watched a 10 year old movie that I missed on the carriers 'entertainment system', and it supposedly sucked, but my options were limited. (Yeah, it did suck)

May I suggest an iPhone 13 with 1 terabyte and battery pack. I think that answers everything on your wish list plus more unless you MUST have an “iPod” I honestly think that market/demand is long gone with the iPhone doing everything that an iPod Touch can do plus the main fact that it’s a phone as well which makes it way more capable and appealing for today’s market. Most people who want a second handheld portable device just go for an iPad.

I agree, but...

I like the iPod because I don't have to take a battery pack on a plane. I can turn my iPhone off, and just use the iPod. I was able to actually charge the iPod too, and did switch to the iPad, if needed. My point is that I landed with a rather fresh iPhone, and did not have to have to hope that the USB jacks on the plane were actually working if i direly needed them to charge a near dead iPhone. (I've been on a few planes where the USB sockets are dead, and where the 'inflight entertainment system' is dead too. They aren't necessary for the plane to stay int he air, so they are kinda not a flight ending issue.

But if I deplete my iPod, and iPad's batteries, I can still just try to sleep, and land with a working iPhone.

But I see you point. I just choose different path.

😅
Yeah, now that you mention it…. true dat!
I only bring it up because resort towels/furniture is the first thing I thought of when the Greece band was unveiled. 👍🏽

It does kind of seem like Greece and Italy fight over that shade of blue. Some car mfg I looked up calls their Capri Aegean. Honda I wanna say
