my first watch!
Love it!

And, they weren’t kidding. “Midnight“ really is Midnight!

Space black titanium and Abyss Blue

Very impressed by the DLC finish. Seems different to how it was on the S5

I got the SBTi S7 and it’s my first non-Alu model and I got to say, I have zero buyer’s remorse after buying it. It’s costly but the difference in texture of the casing is night and day compared to the SG Alu watches I had previously.

Agreed, the finish, the feel and look of the casing is unsurpassed. Absolutely love the SBTi.

Here in Bright harsh daylight. Colors come out way to bright, this is the same midnight band !
But in very Bright daylight the gold is a light gold, just a Nice hue on on the stainless

On this pic looks like silver. Maybe dimmed a bit.

The difference in the photos seems minimal, if any however. Not sure what you mean by feel, the haptics when you run your finger over it?

I‘ll be so free to answer as well, from my personal experience. The difference in pictures depends on the pic quality of course, also the lighting has an impact.

But a picture is just a picture and that brings me to the „feel“ part. Since I don’t wear pictures, it‘s pretty irrelevant how the watch looks in them.
You have to wear it, see and touch it, because then you immediately notice the difference in material and case finish that makes it a dozen times more high end than the dull, practically toy-like in comparison, Aluminum case.

If you’re just after the „function“ part, Alu is fine and it would be quite stupid to pay more for just another case material and a bit of sapphire… but if you’re like me or other watch-nuts, you‘ll definitely appreciate the superbly finished and much more durable case and crystal.

Thanks for the response.
Wear it: the back of the watches is the same these days, isn’t it? So we’re basically discussing the frame around the screen for the difference in materials.
See it: maybe the difference comes across better there, will have to give that a shot again.

In daily operation the only difference between my SBSS and my Alu Apple Watch is the weight - the crystal has kept up well on both.

So you‘re more a „function“ guy I guess.

For me, a Watch (whether a mechanical or an electronic one) is more than just something that does what it should. It brings some form of joy to me when I know there’s a certain quality aspect to it that sets it apart from the „normal“ run of the mill stuff. The „feel“ part btw also comes into play when you handle the watch, for example when changing bands or using the buttons, etc..

I generally prefer products of higher quality in any part of my environment, doesn’t matter if anyone else notices that, appreciates it or sees it the way I do.
Surely it’s also a thing of being able to afford it, but if I can, why shouldn’t I?

The SB TI looks excellent with the SB stainless link band! Have you had the band for a while, or did you just get it for this watch? I’ve always wondered how well the finish will hold up against friction on the underside where you (I) rest your arms against a desk or table. On the silver link band, you can’t really see the scratches (or you could polish them out); but you don’t have to worry about revealing a different undercolor.
I also had it with my Graphite SS Series 6. Don't notice any real change in the finish on the clasp - and in use nobody will see that potion of your watch even if you did develop some micro-scratches.

My only reservation about multi Apple Watches is that unlike traditional mechanical watches it’s an electronic piece which every year you can be sure the next watch will be superior to it. Mechanical watches mostly just change shape form and fashion. This is quite different to Apples only the internals change……revolutionary in some sense. I kept my SBTI6 and now have a second natural TiS7 to swap out for some variety of accessorizing.
