I was pretty impressed with the size difference between the two myself. You wouldn't think it would make as much difference, but it's quite noticeable.
Bezels being the same size 41mm really loses to 45mm in the "whoa it’s all screen!" effect, but it is a definite upgrade to usability. I have good eyes and even I used to sometimes struggle with 40mm was activity rings complication on the S3 era faces, on quicker glance the rings muddled together. On 41mm they are clearly distinct from each other.

Yeah I've really toyed with going to the larger watch the last couple times I've upgraded, but it definitely goes completely across my arm, and my bands wind up with big loops where they don't touch. Although I like the way the big face looks, I think the bands being like that would bother me.

Gold SS series 6, starlight sports band

The larger size of the 7 is apparent. I like it, the green color is subtle will go with a lot of my clothing. I also like the weight and polish of Apple’s SS watches. I traded in an old 4 got the Series 7… question is, so I trade in this Series 6 for another SS series 7 (in gold or silver)

Nike starlight with canary sport loop (knockoff from AliExpress). I wasn’t sure that I was going to like starlight and made and cancelled several orders before finally going through with it, and I’m glad I did. I like it much better than silver aluminum and even better than the rose gold. It’s a real chameleon of a case finish. 2BBD3A29-1CB5-459F-A03F-62FAF4687D0C.jpeg

Nice combo. I'm considering the midnight leather link, so this gives me a good visual.
If possible, go check the Midnight leather at a store near you. Maybe its my eyes but when I checked the leather links at my local store, it looked positively black to me. Not blue like in that pic

I know it's not the typical 'show off your watch' picture, but I was just having lunch at an outdoor cafe and noticed my watch peeking out from under my sleeve. I love how the titanium has a nice luster or sheen, and reflects just a bit ... and the midnight band matches all my dark blue hoodies and t-shirts. Lol

I agree. Almost every pic athousandbands posts of his bands the colors always seem off to me from the ones in my collection. Maybe it's just on my devices, but for some reason his photos are always off for me.

I haven’t gotten eyes on the Midnight leather link nor the watch for that matter yet, but I think it’s been well established that Midnight conceptually, at-large, includes a touch of blue.

As for calibration, I can only speak to my photo studio aka outdoors in the sun and the shade. I don’t think it’s wise to put too much stock in what a band looks like under the harsh lighting of the store.

I don't have a Midnight leather link (my black leather link suits me fine) but the Midnight sport band definitely has a lot of blue in it. It usually appears black or nearly black, but in brighter lighting it's obviously blue (as you can see in the picture I posted above) ...

I have the midnight leather link, and it looks definitely blue when it catches sunlight.
In the evening or a dim room it looks black or very very dark blue.

Just for the record, I wasn’t in any way criticizing your photos (which I always appreciate). I just noticed the silicone Midnight might look more Blue than in leather. Cheers to all!

My almost 1 year old braided is now too loose. It was perfect by the time I bought it. Now the watch moves around.
Other braided that I have also starts to get a big bigger :(
Won't buy them again.
Throw a wet hand towel in the dryer with your braided solo loop. It will shrink back down to the original size. There are many YouTube videos on this. Works like a charm.
