Even though Apple classifies Plum as "Purple" and Dark Cherry as "Red".... go figure!

Really? How so? I wasn‘t aware Apple classifies the colours at all?

Edit: I just saw that there is a „colour picker“ thing on the website. Only for the current bands, of course … and Hermès Rouge H is a „red“. Crazy that they apparently put Plum, which is really quite similar, under „purple“ before … 🤪

Certainly many colors are tweeners. But I like classifying plum as a purple both because there are so few purples and because I’ve recently turned on the Bandbreite sequence, I like starting with red and ending with purple, maybe because the purples we have are so dark.

That’s where Dark Cherry goes for me. While I’ve accepted and memorized the new face color picker order, I do miss the old one as a reference, where Plum was certainly tucked down near the end.

So amazon has a ridiculously long return window so i'm likely going to return my Graphite and have a Nike S7 Midnight on delivery for today.

I love the sapphire peace of mind but i've enjoyed wearing the Nike watch with the faces/band combos for a while. So I'm going to use that the rest of the S7 year and save myself close to $400. I just love the deep dark finish of the midnight and i've had a hard time getting one since launch.

Graphite is a beauty though

Thought I’d put this in here just because so many people post pics in here. I want to see what your faves are with Starlight. Today’s my birthday, and I’m ordering myself a new band. I want to see the ones yall think look best with Starlight.

Happy belated Birthday! The graphite Milanese Loop looks great with the starlight. There are lots of pictures of this combo posted here. If you don't feel like searching let me know and I can take a picture. Also, as you already know, saddle brown leather link looks really good too.

I don't know if this should be its own thread but maybe you all can advise me cause I think this thread is for photos but I was having some issues as a buyer trying to find photos that were niche to what I wanted. I hope this thread is helpful to others especially with the combination photos of the Titanium paired with the Dark Cherry/Forest Green Sport Loop

Me: Space Black Stainless Steel (large model) owner since Series 0. I've had series 0,1,2,3,5 and now 7 all in the largest SBSS with a Link Bracelet that I purchased with the series 0 model a long time ago.

With Series 6/7, the only way to get SBSS was to get a Hermes so I basically considered my options for over a year before finally deciding I was going to upgrade to the Titanium Space Black model with fears it would not match my daily wearing link bracelet.

Outgoing Model: Series 5, 44mm Space Black Stainless Steel
Incoming Model: Series 7, 45mm Space Black Titanium Edition

Here are a few photos...if this should be its own thread, I can do that and add some thoughts on weight, feel, look, flashiness and why the Edition is a far more compelling model over the stainless steel Hermes despite being $500 cheaper. (extra warranty, band, materials are nicer, lighter).

A few impressions, the jump to Titanium for me is actually kind of refreshing. I'm not a mechanical watch wearer so to have worn a Space Black Stainless steal watch since release day (April of 2015), we're talking about nearly 7 years with one watch on my wrist every day so to move to a brushed titanium is actually really nice. I like how it looks but it could just be because it's different. I've sadly given Apple enough money on watches to have bought a really nice mechanical by now if you add up $700-$1100 over 6 watches I've owned

Oddly enough, the Space Black Stainless steel has always been shinier than the link bracelet. It could be more pronounced because my link has been a daily wear for 7 years and I've only had one clasp fail (they gave me extras in the original box). But my opinion is the Space Black Titanium matches the link bracelet better than SS because the titanium isn't glossy. It's actually a near perfect match. the brushed look is more brushed than my link but it's closer than glossy.

I like the new screen size, I like the more edge to edge look.
