Yeah I know but like I said, fine for me. I got me a size smaller than suggested by Apple and that was a good move

That’s essential. The newer ones seem to stretch a bit less and take longer to stretch, but I’m MUCH happier with my one size smaller than recommended this time. My Atlantic blue is now more of a relaxed fit than I prefer.

The apple store worker recommend I go with a smaller size as well, was about to laugh when she said size 4 braided solo loop, I'm normally a size 7 in the solo loop, she knew what she was talking about, fits perfectly without being uncomfortable.

At this point my injured brain needs wrist pix

That’s just so weird. Do you have pictured wearing both? I just can’t imagine how that could be unless you just wear the solo loop loose enough to flop around or the braided is super tight.

I’m guessing silicone doesn’t look loose on wrist?

Silicone solo band definitely isn’t loose, braided solo loop fits like a glove. 👌

I’ve got a picture of the braided solo loop, I’ll take a pic of the silicone solo loop later on.

7am here, more coffee needed. 🥱

Shaking my arm up and down, side to side, the watch doesn’t move one bit. 👌

Ok so I’m gonna definitively say the new series 7 braided weave definitely changes the fit game.

My bf wanted to try moving down to size 9 and today we just got in a yoink Abyss Blue 9 Braid and it’s about the same length as my super well worn sleep Pink Punch 8 Braid and not much longer than a less worn Charcoal 8 Braid and the Pink Punch 8 fits him noticeably looser than the perfect Abyss Blue 9.

So while these three bands are all the same length more or less, you tug them off-wrist and you feel such a tension difference.

Of course age plays a role here, but even comparing barely-worn S6 versus S7 braids of my own, the tug just feels different.

I don’t really know what the conclusion is here, it even kind of doesn’t square with your new-style Starlight being so small, but it means something!

ETA: the wide-ranging laser-cut lengths aside, I wonder what a braid world that had just started at the series 7 style would have looked like, as regards the loosening over time, if we would have a better impression of the style had we not endured the first set. Of course, we’ll see by this summer when the fall2021 braids have had a chance to prove their mettle.

Oh and he will daily this Abyss Blue (his first s7 braid) so I can def report back on its integrity in a way I never will be able to with my own vaaaaast collection, dahling.

Prob best I don’t visit a store and try size 6 🫥
I put mine on before I left the store, just to make sure the one I tried on in store wasn’t stretched out. 😂

Didn’t feel like driving back to apple, if it ended up being tight, especially with petrol prices at $2.50 a liter.

I really like mine! Almost bought it before Apple stopped selling it. Luckily I didn’t, ‘cause shortly after I bought an S7 combo that came with dark cherry SB and LeLi 😅
I went for it. A nice rich purple still feels rare. I’m allowed to double up 1-2 top bands from a season, I reckon. Grabbed a clover SpBa too, silver pin on ceramic is fiiiine.

I am normally a 7 in solo loop and braided. Have a pistachio, plum and first green sport loop and a charcoal braided. Bought the latest product red in a 7 a month or so ago and it fits perfectly - it is a bit smaller than my charcoal but that may be age.

I think I could have gone to a 6 at a push but not a 4.
