Test driving a 41mm S7 Blue with 'Abyss Blue' sport band

got it open box for $247, I think pretty good deal !

was perfectly fine with my 40mm S4 and I think battery health was upper 80s too, think I still would be fine with it... but fast charging cord / functionality (glad to have USB-C, bringing a 5w and usb-A watch cable sucks when traveling), bigger screen/smaller bezels, different color, and always on display /brighter display might be worth trading in my S4 for $105 to apple or handing down to a family member that might want it

The bigger screen/smaller bezel feels like the big one , its subtle but in other situations its obvious to me. feels like I moved up to a 44mm old school or something visibility wise haha, from memory (the largest size watches aren't for me, and I have way too many smaller bands to even consider switching)

Was marked 'Satisfactory' condition and is honestly great overall (band and charger looked untouched) ASIDE from a few small micro scratches in top right of the face that can only be seen in the right angle and shined light, and not unless hunting. and one little mark vertically otherwise I hadn't even seen for a while. Might've even been someone who opened it, wanted the larger watch or different color , said nope, and slid it back in and the scratches could be from debris in that paper-like casing it was in. I am a bit OCD but maybe this will help me get over babying it right off the bat and just get to enjoying it, since Im always obsessive when I get a new watch but REFUSE to do the screen protector thing with this one always have been, because the experience of nothing on there and aesthetic is well worth it to me.

Also... when I look at my S4, it has TONS and tons of scratches and bottom left one that looks like a scratch deep enough to be a mark. seems inevitable / theres another BB with a couple units but I dont think its worth the gas and fishing expedition to possibly get one worse / worse panel / some issues or iCloud locked.

I recall a month or two after getting my S4, I dropped it face first on ceramic tile, landed on the corner left a little mark/ding in the aluminum that got me over the honeymoon phase quick. Lucky I didnt craack it .

Second photo is my battle scarred S4.

Also- the blue watch goes well with most of my bands surprisingly ! glad they're 'compatible'

Really nice collection! Do you rotate them during daily use? Or are you using only the latest one and collect the others?

I'm new to the Apple Watch scene. This is my first Apple Watch, a Series 7 in Stainless Steel 45mm with Graphite finish. I got the Graphite Milanese Loop band as it seemed the easiest to adjust when putting the watch on.

I'm still figuring out what display I will settle with once I get used to my new watch. I already updated the OS on this watch to 8.5.1

Looking forward to learning more about this watch
ML is a very comfortable and beautiful band. Two advice:
- pay attention that the band never touch the watch case, because the band could scratch it, could also scratch the watch wireless charger;
- pay attention with your hair and facial hair 😂

Gen. 2, yeah? Looks quite like Red Raspberry SB, doesn‘t it?
Yep 2nd gen, you‘re right (of course).
To me it‘s more like 5th gen product red, raspberry is quite a bit lighter in color - I just put them next to each other to check it out ;-)

I see … brightness varies so much due to lighting it‘s very hard to tell from pictures. It just looked so fresh and „fruity“ to me.
