Since I now have a ton of apple watches and a ton of bands, I thought it’d be cool to share my curation of what bands go best with which watches in my collection. This watch I call ⌚️Edition , it’s a series 5 44mm titanium.

Starting top left is black/pure platinum nike sport loop, anchor gray, black, and storm gray sport loops. When it comes to the sport loops, I think they just look better with a black finish watch. Anything else makes it seem mismatched to me. Still, when I pair this watch with them, darker colors are better.

The next two I wear for fun sometimes…. The nike sport band in pure platinum/black looks slick, but I do prefer it on my white ceramic instead. The red Solo loop looks ok on this watch, but better on my black one. The light gray sport loop came with the watch and it’s a good color combo. I think the dark gray (which comes with the space black watch) does look better. But I really don’t wear the sport bands with this watch much. I like them better on the smaller size watches for some reason.

Next is the leather loops. The black leather loop is my second most worn band with this watch. I got the stone one when I bought the watch, thinking it would be a great color, but honestly I hardly ever wear it. I think it looks very, very nice, but it just doesn’t work with my skin, wrist, etc… I think it’d be better suited for a lady. I also have a chalk leather link (not pictured) that I don’t like the look of with this watch. I think the leather loops are more elegant looking than the link. The big pill magnets look way better in a darker color.

The pearl woven nylon I wear a lot with jeans. The woven nylon line I love because of the classic design and the quality is really great, but the colors could have been a little better I think. And of course, my top pick for the watch is the stainless link band. It just really is a great look, I think. Big and bold, but a classic sort of geeky look like a casio.
I just love it, but only sometimes.

Overall, I’d say this is my least worn watch, maybe once a week. I do like it, but anything lighter than a black band doesn’t work that well for me, and even though the link band looks amazing, it’s really a huge watch that I only like to rock every so often.

Nice collection! Does the sport loop velcro or adhesive hold up over a couple years? I guess not if you wear them infrequently, I’ve heard mixed reports on it.

How do you keep that black leather loop so new looking? I bought one with the OG Apple Watch not too long after it was released in 2015, and it looks absolutely awful now!

I've cleaned it with some leather cleaner, but it didn't do an awful lot. Plus there's a permanent bend in it from where it loops back on itself.

Well, it is my second most worn band for this watch, but this is my least worn Watch of five. So I’d say I keep it in good condition by scarcely wearing it haha.

I do apply tiny bits of oil to all of my leather bands every couple of months, I don’t know if there’s a benefit to that.

If they can somehow get 2x battery life, that would be awesome. It will take a miraculous breakthrough for them to ever get near Garmin Fenix territory. It’s a frustrating trade off. I’m always tempted by the Fenix, but I fear I’d miss the right integration too much. I think I’d be ok if I could at least have the amount of control that Android has with Garmin.
Not going to lie the Fenix 7 is SUPER nice and in my eyes looks better than an AW. I just like having a watch that can do other things after I run. Such a toss up and constantly change watches. Fingers crossed the 8 “pro” or whatever extends the battery life. Have you ever tried Garmin?
