Got a true black knockoff braided. I do love black with the stainless.
I tried to get the lighting right to show how black it is, but no matter what I did I could get a perfect shot. I am quite pleased with it though - can’t be the $11 price tag either. ;-p

Absolutely! Everything Apple puts out for consumers is for a profit to them and especially in accessories. They wouldn’t be the $2134.09B company they are today if their business motto was any different. Just my two cents.

I thought you were confused and asking about the one specifically posted... As to answer your question... Yes it's still profitable... No matter how many knock-offs are sold and no matter how good the quality is.. There is always going to be a large segment of people who will prefer to pay apple a premium... Whether its because they like the experience of going in to the Apple store and buying something directly.... Or because they just aren't interested in buying a replica/knock-off.... Or simply because they are not aware and only know the Apple option..... The point is that Apple always reports great profits on accessories regardless of a robust replica market out there.
It looks like the top half of the side that actually shows is just black. Why do they make the underside that isn’t even visible have the design?
