The Leather Link looks surprisingly great on the Ultra
You need to spend more time on the Hermes threadI love how many of the recent posts are just braided solos and sport loops. We're all just wearing sweatpants haha.
Went with a Black Nike Sport Loop today but unfortunately don't have a photo, really wish Apple brought back the loops with reflectivity. Dumb to take away a beloved feature for seemingly no reason.
As with all designs it’s of course a matter of taste. If you prefer slim formal looks, a stainless steel will look more to your taste. I have slim formal mechanical watches that I will use for formal events, so this chunky diver-looking is spot on for me. It really looks good in person with the titanium as wellI have a Series 6 Apple Watch that I want to trade in. When I wear an Apple Watch, I currently wear my Series 7 aluminum green, which I love and want to keep for years, but it doesn't go with everything. I am thinking of a Series 8 in stainless steel in either silver or gold, or the Ultra. However, the Ultra with its bands look chunky and unattractive to me. With the leather link band, the watch looks much better. But I don't know if it looks better than the Series 8!
nooooo, i only just got the one, no need for more! You need to spend more time on the Hermes thread
Really dig this one!
I love the pride BSL but it’s both the older, looser braid weave and the lighter yarn gets dirty pretty easily (but if you don’t let it sit dirty for too long you can easily clean it back to new).If you had to choose 1, would you pick the pride or the black unity braided solo loop? I’m referring to the ones currently on the Apple store. I’m limited to 1 at the moment, I’ve bought too many lately lol. My wife is going to beat me 😂.
Thank you very much, that is good to know. I have 2 of the older weaves that did loosen up on me to the point of being borderline too big. On a side note, let get this Super Bowl, Fly Eagles Fly!I love the pride BSL but it’s both the older, looser braid weave and the lighter yarn gets dirty pretty easily (but if you don’t let it sit dirty for too long you can easily clean it back to new).
The Black Unity is awesome and it won’t stretch as easily.
When did the weaved bands get updated? I have one I got with my S7 in October 2021 - updated since?I love the pride BSL but it’s both the older, looser braid weave and the lighter yarn gets dirty pretty easily (but if you don’t let it sit dirty for too long you can easily clean it back to new).

After one year, with the first series 7 bands, the BSL got a noticeable upgrade. The stitch is smaller and the bands look more metallic (like suspension cables) and feel more tensile. When did the weaved bands get updated? I have one I got with my S7 in October 2021 - updated since?
This is what I’m curious about, if they had updated the Pride loop. I had tried to reach out to their customer service and they were pretty unhelpful 😣. If they haven’t updated the weave then I’d probably go with the Black Unity, or maybe I’ll go a size smaller. After one year, with the first series 7 bands, the BSL got a noticeable upgrade. The Pride BSL, though still sold, will always just be an old “series 6” recipe. Unless they’re still making new ones and updated manufacturing…hmm
Even my series 6 BSL that aren’t stretched just feel so loose when I’m sliding them on.
Ironically the better BSL looks worse on camera here, even with the 48mp shooter:

well maybe they changed the recipe for the pride BSLAfter one year, with the first series 7 bands, the BSL got a noticeable upgrade. The stitch is smaller and the bands look more metallic (like suspension cables) and feel more tensile.

Yeah looks like they did update it! Do you have the box with the part number and copyright year? Is it a 40/44mm?well maybe they changed the recipe for the pride BSL
look, in terms of stitching, this-year-purchased pride loop looks and feels waaay closer to the English lavender (2021) BSL.
