Look ridiculously huge, going to need to see this in an Apple Store

I love my iPad Air 2, I use it 60% of the time, 40% my new beautiful 15"rMBP. The reason I keep going back to the iPad is how crazy light and portable is, just throw it in the bag and you won't even notice it.

I keep hearing how there is a real weight to the iPad Pro, this might be the first time I really want Apple to work on getting a device lighter and thinner before I consider it

Walked into the Apple Store at 10 am today and picked up a 128gb gold wifi. Very limited stock for walk in customers without a reservation.

You have to wonder because the Mini eventually started selling the larger IPad and now this monster. For those who say the Pro is for a different kind of user, I bet the majority who buys it uses it like their prior iPad for consumption mainly.

Yeah those who have replaced their air with this chances are a lot will use it like their air

Looks good, let us know what you think, reviews so far are favourable.

That's exactly how mine is being used.

Great. I have a few questions please..
Congrats.

Does the keyboard feel to bulky to carry with you?
Is the keyboard with iPad Pro combination able to sit in your lap and function well for typing?
Also , is the combination together thinner thin a MacBook Air or Pro?

Thank you.
The keyboard definitely has some heft to it but it's not a deal breaker for me. It feels about as heavy in my hand as an earlier generation Macbook Air (my wife has one and I held both for comparison).

The Logi Create keyboard seems sturdy enough that if I place the combo in my lap I can type comfortably.

Is that angle adjustable or fixed? Seems very steep. Also wondering whether the 4:3 aspect ratio starts to feel a bit tall when in a laptop style configuration like that?
The angle is fixed but at a seated height I don't mind it. I suppose I'm not tired of the aspect ratio yet but that might be because I have been using a lot of split screen multitasking.

My intention was to use this as a personal tablet and a computer-style setup for work. I've been using it for most of the work day today and it seems very convenient. Make no mistake, carrying it around with the keyboard feels like carrying a laptop. But the speed, instant on, battery life, and ability for me to detach to a tablet has been nice so far in my very limited 1-day sampling period.

Based on my initial thoughts I think it'll work for what I wanted and needed. But, as always, this is subjective to every person's needs.

It's really nice. Great screen: no dead pixels or dust under the glass, no yellowish tint or book spine shadow that I can see. Very vibrant screen. Very fast and fluid. It looks huge sitting in my lap, but that's a good thing. Nice speakers for a device like this. If only Apple would develop a screen that wouldn't show fingerprint smudges.
