i wish the smart keyboard was available in midnight blue. .

this is my biggest complaint. As petty as it sounds, why the hell doesn't the iPad Pro have any colors? Any at all? My girlfriend would love a white keyboard to go with her white and gold iPad Pro. And not even just that. The smart covers (not keyboard) don't even come in any other colors for the 12 inch pro. But for the smaller pro? A myriad of colors!

Makes no god damn sense

I have the same dilemma. I have a rose gold iPad Pro and was planning on getting the midnight blue smart cover but after using the smart keyboard have bought one of those. I wish the smart keyboard was available in midnight blue. I may still get the smart cover for those times when I don't need to have a keyboard handy or don't want to risk getting the keyboard dirty. I often use my iPad to watch streaming TV shows whilst having dinner and don't want to risk the keyboard getting dirty with food particles. It doesn't look like it's easy to clean and I rather risk the cheaper smart cover getting dirty then the smart keyboard.
The smart keyboard is actually pretty easy to clean. It's water resistant, too.

It had to be, as I hear it there was some real concern at Apple during the development phase of the iPad Pro and it's accessories.
Seemingly the issue had been raised that once they released the products, there was some real concern over the danger of Apple fanboys (and girls) drooling all over them in the Apple Stores and causing the keyboard to absorb and subsequently squirt out other peoples spit at potential customers trying out the new products.

There was no other reason for the waterproofing.

Thanks. That's good to know. It does alleviate my fears. Still I might get a smart cover anyway for those occasions when I don't want to risk using the smart keyboard getting unnecessarily dirty.

Thought id post a more full screen shot. Couldnt be happier with the 12.9. Best tech purchase ive made in years.

I’ll be purchasing my first iPad Pro this year if the the new models get the ‘X’ like treatment. Would love to see more iPad setups!

What keyboard are you using may I ask?

Thanks

It's great. Took a few pics to show it from different angles. It's a hefty chunk of aluminium so it's not light, but it gives it good weight when using it so you can tilt the iPad to any angle and the base unit doesn't move when you touch the screen. You can choose the colour so it matches perfectly whatever iPad you have. Backlit keyboard as well.

[doublepost=1520146427][/doublepost]Sorry, I missed your description of the iPad version and case.

Thanks

12.9 2nd Gen Pro with cellular, 9.7 Pro wifi only and Mini 4 wifi only. I use the Apple Keyboard with both iPad Pro's - the smaller keyboard works well with the larger 12.9 device.

Possibly moving on the Mini 4 soon as the 7 Plus has cannibalised my usage
