Show Package Contents option... gone?

I don't know with which update this happened, but with some files (specifically a .jar file in my case) I no longer have a Show Package Contents option (either when I use the finder action menu or right-click). It used to work fine before. Any advice on what I can do to get it to appear?

AFAIK it has never worked with .jar files, since that is not a Mac OS X package, but a compiled java code file.

Yea, I've never seen that option for jar files. Maybe you installed an app that added that feature.
