Post count isn't everything, or even relevant in the vast majority of cases, but it can be a factor. That's all I'm saying.

For instance, if someone posts in a completely assinine manner, and is asking a basic question, I might take the time to remind them to search, but only after I tried to help. If they've been around for a while, I'd be a bit less gentle. ;)
 
I understand that post count does not equal trustworthiness but if they say they have 1-5 posts* they are not to be trusted usually. But usually the more posts the better. (they can hide their newbie status with $25 but scammers usually do not.)



Why:

  1. they work for the company or are the owner
  2. they are scammers


* or:
  1. they only post about 1 company/product
  2. are banned on other forums
  3. They post referral links
