Well, just under two weeks ago, I received word from the high end office furnishing company that I had placed an order for a chair with (made to order by the German company Klöber, a "Management Task Chair" in their 'Moteo' range, the 'Executive' model - ergonomic, proper support, elegant, comfortable etc) that the chair had been made and that they had taken delivery of it.

As I was up attending meetings, I headed out and paid the balance - having paid a substantial deposit earlier.

The chair is to be delivered to my home this coming Tuesday.

I have this chair as well, but I didn't buy it. It's work-issued.

I bought myself an Aeron chair early this year to replace the standard issue junk my employer provided. Love it. I have a fascination with chairs and am looking to add to my collection again soon.

Well, I am currently luxuriating in my new office chair.

It was made to order in Germany by the Klöber company, and is part of their 'Moteo' range, the 'Executive' model. The chair (which is described as a 'Management Task Chair') gives me lumbar support, and comes with all of the usual stuff, castors, swivel, height and tilt adjustable. As I am rather partial to leather, I ordered it in leather.

In truth, while it was pretty expensive, I regret that I didn't order one years ago.

Am I the only one that uses a cheap, self assembled, screwed together office chair from the department store?

Some of the chairs in here are worth more than my entire setup.

Nope, my chair is a cheap department one I put together about 12 years ago, but I'm looking for a new reasonably priced one to replace it, hopefully one that will fit under my desk.

I know your post is old. But where can I get a chair like this? Thanks
I bought mine at Scan Interiors in Memphis. I wasn't even looking for an office chair, but ran across the one they had in the store and I had to have it.

You will need to go to IMG's site and put in your zip code to find the nearest store that carries their brand:

Hi guys! I am the designer and manufacturer of a new meeting table CORING, an interactive collaboration furniture that leads the meeting evolution! What do you think? Would you like to support our Indiegogo campaign?

It is plug&play with ANY OS (device/PC/MAC)!

No, if i really wanted a spinning display on a table for collaboration i would just buy the monitor and touch interface you are using and put it on a Lazy Susan and save me 6'500 euro.

Thanks for your thoughts! If you do all these you will pay around 3.000 euros and you will have a monitor on a table hard to use!

I have a decent mid-grade leather office chair, though a good 50% of the time, I've got my desk up in "standing mode" (and the chair is in the corner).

The frame/main seating surfaces are in terrific shape, but the armrests got beat up (lined up for constant collisions with a previous desk), and the cheap rollers just wore out (and had gunk fused into the roller surface). Didn't want to buy a whole new chair, so I found that those two components are pretty generic and modular! I got inexpensive armrest replacements, the brackets lined up right (it's kind of a "standard"), they're a solid padded foam, really they're just used (for me) to get in/out of the chair, so this was mostly a cosmetic fix.

The rollers? I got these slick replacements, that use high quality bearings, rubber contact surface, basically look like rollerblade wheels :D They work fantastic on the hard wood in my office, and again, the mounting shaft was perfect, with the exception of a few brands they work on just about any office chair.

So before you pitch your chair, check out some of the reburb/replacement/upgrade components available, I spent about $30 from Amazon!
