anyone with a link bracelet shower with it? Has the band been effected?

You can even get yourself drenched in sweat before showering with it.

OP you are OK shower with your SS :apple:Watch so consider what Apple says.

"Crafted from the same 316L stainless steel alloy as the case...."

So why would you think the bracelet would be "effected" when it is the same material as the :apple:Watch case?
....The point is sweat is much more corrosive/damaging than just water and soap....
Understatement:D

I have a Milanese not link band, but I do shower with it sometimes, and I do have a slightly discoloured (slightly darker) stripe along the inside of the band. Washing with soap and water does not help.

Shower with it all the time. I shower with my other watches also. Best way to clean them.

Anyone have spare link pieces for the 42mm? Got my band from ebay but the seller couldn't be bothered to send all the pieces!

I'd return it or make the seller send the rest of the link pieces. I read they go for a pretty penny on eBay (a member reported $50 per link piece!, but not sure if it's actually that high).

How else would you clean off stainless steel?

While I am showering my Rolex sits in a glass full of Windex or ammonia. Pull it out after your shower and give it a light brush with a toothbrush, rinse in warm water and it is good for another week. Been doing this for 15 years as recommended by my Rolex dealer!

I know that can not be done with the AW but wearing in the shower to clean it is stupid. If you want to wash it put it under the faucet with some mild soap and soft toothbrush.. Soap that is meant to clean a humans is not particularly a good choice for cleaning your watch.

This is all just common sense which I know will infuriate some here, just watch how they reply to this!:p

If you want to shower with your watch, that is fine, no harm done. But it is not the best way to clean it.;)
