A lot of people shower/bathe at night to relax and refresh from a difficult day but I don't see the use. You sleep and sweat at night, even in clean clothes, so you're dirty when you wake.

I used to shower in the morning, but have become lazy the last few months and now shower in the evening. I'll try to make the showers as short as possible--usually between 5-10 minutes. Sometimes I'll take longer ones when I feel the need to relax or warm up.

whenever the kids will let me. this stay home parent gig is tough!

what i really miss is college and military showers with seemingly unlimited hot water, and not needing to worry about paying the utility bill as a result of the hour long shower. aah, the good old days.

now the bills and the obvious waste of water keep me to 5 minutes or less... :(

Morning and Night showers
sometimes during the day if I sweat too much.
lenght depends on if I am washing my hair (15+ mins) or just body ( 5-10mins)
Occasionally I have a bath instead usually to soak sore back or deal with bad headache,

I take them at night.. they're always exactly 15 minutes. You could time a pie that takes 15 minutes to bake by it!

It's so hot at the moment that I've just taken to swimming a quick couple of laps in the pool instead. That reminds me. I should probably get some more pool salt.

OCD, or a small water heater?

It just takes 15 minutes to get clean.
I've been following the same cleaning routine for years now, so I'm used to it. It just happens to be 15 minutes. If I even try to make it longer, I can't.. I just can't do it!

I also like that it's 1/4 of an hour, 90° on the clock, and 15 is divisible by only 1, 3, and 5-- the first three odd numbers of positive whole numbers.

so maybe also a little OCD, but mostly routine.
