Showing heart rate

Is there a way to show the heart rate on the main clock face so one doesn't have to push the heart and wait a few seconds?

I suspect the answer is no simply because in order to have this you would need to be measuring your heartbeat 24/7 which would have a big impact on battery life.

The new fitbit ionic does this. One of its clockface has the time, date, and heart rate on it.

But the Apple Watch does not.

If you have the Cardiogram app, the complication has the last recorded HR shown on it. In my experience, it doesn't work as advertised.
