Showing off ios 14 features funny FAIL be careful!

So I was on a serious date and he noticed I was running ios 14 by seeing the widgets on my homescreen.

he asked if he could see closer, I then launched the widget manager to show him how it worked. Although before doing that I forgot that the Photo Widget selects pictures at random (or so it seems). So this is the story of how I accidentally showed my genitals to my date.*facepalm*

There are plenty apps that can hide photos behind a password. Keeping nude photos in the normal photo apps seems risky in a number of scenarios :|

Always keep photos like that in the hidden folder, and they don't show on there.

Or maybe it highlights that maybe should have photos like that in the hidden folder, so people using your phone won't accidentally stumble on them?

OMG. While there is nothing more than rated G in thousands of photos, there are photos I would like to hide but not delete for sentimental reasons. I haven't looked at ios 14 photos enough to see if any of the updates would help with the above embarrassing situation.

i set backtap to invert the screen, then showed my GF an 'amazing' trick i can do; while holding my phone, i waved two fingers from my other hand in the air, pointed at the phone... and the screen inverted. then i reversed that.

this has value until 10.14 is official, and everyone figures out backtap....

I'm not saying that we shouldn't be able to set it to certain folders, if you actually read my posts.

Also, seeing how the News widget has been built, you can see that there's likely going to be changes to the stock widgets coming. Also, there are some of the old style that are missing, which I expect will reappear. Look at Files, that widget came in beta 2. So to assume that the stock widgets that we have now are not likely to change by GM, is a bit foolish.

the Apple Watch has a similar watch face and they offer the possibility to select your image. Maybe in a next update

Well, it's not really a flaw as much as a limitation. As far as dealing with a supposed situation like the one presented, it seems that iOS has functionality related to setting photos as hidden, which likely would avoid a situation like that.

I use the notes app and just paste whatever photos I wanna hide and then I lock the note with a password and you need my fingerprint to open it

I'm personally against more choices, when they start to overwhelm rather than help. But anecdotally I don't think people in general are against choices.
