shrinking a document in Microsoft Word

    I have a document - about 460 KB - and I need to shrink it down to less than 150 KB for a job application. I tried compressing it into a .zip file or whatever but it only got down to about 230 KB. Any suggestions?

    Remove the formatting. If you're submitting for a job and there is a kb restriction, then they're reading it plain txt.

    I'd strip out the formatting.
