iPod shuffle on multable computers

Well I finally got the Shuffle. I am trying to play the music on it through iTunes on my work computer. When it said "....blah blah...Linked to anouther computer......delete music..." I said no as noted in anouther thread. Now iTunes does not see the iPod. Windows does, and I can copy the music off and to the local drive, but would rather not do that. Is there anyway to play the music through iTunes like I can on home computer. I am runngin XP Pro SP2 at work if that matters.

I posted a thread just like this one about a week ago asking exactly the same thing, and got almost no response. It was almost like nobody understood the question I was asking.

Apparently, the shuffle cannot be used like a regular iPod. You can only listen to music off of it from the computer the music came off of. It really sucks.

Lordy, I hope I'm wrong on this one. Somebody please prove me wrong!!
