Shuffled wallpapers (static images) seem to change abruptly

Hi folks,

I'm finding that having recently upgraded to Sonoma my previously smooth transitioning shuffled wallpapers are occasionally changing quite abruptly. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to remedy it?
