swtich from pc to Mac, I know most users need not to shutdown overnight.

But, is it a problem during summer time as I live in Hong Kong where could heat up at above 30 degree during summer?

My room will be without air conditioning when I go for work at day time.

Unless you are using it for some actual purpose overnight why not shut it down and save the energy bill / planet etc? I shut down al my macs normally apart from a Mac mini server 24x7 running various things continuously.

Mac and iOS devices are built to not be shut down. This doesn’t mean you’re wrong to do so. Sleep mode draws very little power and allows some things to remain in an easily accessible state. The typical rule of thumb is to leave the device running unless you plan not to use it for an extended period of time or once a month just to start everything fresh.

Don't see your point as you can put your computer to sleep or just shut it down any time you like. If you're not using it why keep it turned on?

I only use my iMac after work so I power it off when I got bed and only power it back up when I get home around 6pm.
