Shut down timer?

Is there any timer on the touch where you can set it to power off at a certain time? I usually fall asleep with it on and that's probably not good for it. Thanks

i'm pretty sure in the timer option in the clock menu u can set it on a timer and there should be an option on what u want it to do when the timer goes off.

that would be nice. i make window programs. i made a timer like that that can logoff, reboot or shutdown the pc like this. posted on my myspace page and in my blogs..

Yes indeed, one of the options on the timer is to put the iPod to sleep.

What I want is a timer/alarm that "wakes up" the iPod at a set time and start playing music -- either from a designated playlist or just randomly play any of the songs on the iPod. Combined with external speakers, that would make a great alarm clock!
