shuts down at boot

Ive created an OSX boot drive, I've booted with it, run disk utility, run the repair but there seems to be some issue cause the issues couldn't be repaired. What else can i use to repair the drive? Is there something other than Disk Utility and if so, how can i dun this from the boot drive?
