shutting down time for late 2013 rMBP 13''

I just got a haswell macbook pro retina 13'' last week with 16GB memory and i7CPU. After using it for a week, I dont feel this computer is faster than my old 2012 macbook air at all... and everytime after I click shutdown, It takes more than 10 seconds to completely to power off, is that normal to other late 2013 version users?
