Shutting Down

I have an iMac is there any reason to shut it down or should I keep it running?

Just sleep it.

It can go a bit mad if you keep it on for a long time, but otherwise just sleep it, its ready to use straight away then.

I usually sleep it during the day and shutdown at night time. It takes well under a minute to boot up in the morning and saves a bit of electricity. It all adds up.
