People complaining about the smalles things with there iPhones, for example. Okay mostly on every iPhone you get the screen won't be sitting flush along with the bezel most of the time. Get over it. Is it really effecting you that much ? I'm curious to what's the big deal here.

I'm happy that 300 means nothing to you, but other expect a perfect device for their hard earned cash.

    It's ruining my life.

No wait, that's just the futility of life in the modern era.

    Smallest.
    Their. Possessive.
    Affecting.

    Just a few.
Anyways, is a thread needed for this?
Some people see things others do not, some care, some don't.
    Everyone is different.

Total cost of the iphone with service is over $2500, damn straight I want a perfect phone to stare at whenever I pick it up.

Imagine if all 17 inch MBPs screens had a 2 degree rotation. How many owners would be happy with that?

Trust me, 300 isnt for me. Especially on a phone but it's definitely worth it. Even if the screen might not be totally aligned with the bezel. Just wondering why people focus so much on the negatives then more the capabilities and what not.

Yeah, no offense intended there, it's just the first thing that came to my head and I just posted what we were all thinking.

I say we rabble about MMS.
I know, trust me, I used to give him SO much s***. But he's actually very helpful, and I would definitely want his keen eye on my QC team.

In a perfect world we would all have iPhones that are flawless. Too bad this isnt a perfect world. My iPhone has tuns of scratches, light leak, dust under the screen etc..... It functions fine and when it doesn't I wipe it out and run it as a new phone.

Well it does directly bother people. Every time they have to slide to unlock, their thumbs shave against the bezel. That is pretty annoying.

Those that complain so much about their phone AND that is cost $200-300 - let me ask you this...

Have you ever bought a brand new car? And if so - have you gone over it with a fine tooth comb like you do your iPhone?

If you did (or if you haven't yet) - let me assure you. There is easily 1,001 things that are "wrong" or "uneven" or whatever in your multi-thousand dollar investment.

I understand wanting a "perfect" phone. But the world and manufacturing doesn't work that way. Things happen.

Amen! I was actually going to post something along this line. I'm very mechanically inclined and my buddy is a master tech for Ford. He used to tell me stories all the time about 45,000 $ brand new off the lot trucks getting sent out to the scrap yard for faulty ecu's, and others due to various mechanical problems. It happens, thats why there are warranties.

i can see both sides here...

people are upset that they pay hard earned money (harder these days you know?) for something and have it not work perfectly..

however, to expect every single one to be perfect 100% of the time is completely unrealistic.

On the other hand, have you scoured a 15 cent Oreo? Those things are damn near perfect!

Having your screen not even with your bezel is like your door not being even with the other door when closed or your tail light stock out a little from the edge of the car to where water can get in. (in the iPhones case, dust)...

So yes, i would take my BRAND NEW Mercedes (kind of equivalent to the iPhone in comparison to other phones) back. Mercedes has been known for its high prices and good quality like Apple is also known for.

So yes to answer your question, yes i would want my car to be fixed to where it is like all the other cars on the lot that were made correctly.

When the same defect occurs in nearly every unit, it becomes a design flaw not a manufacturing issue.

To some degree you make sense. But really - what ratio is acceptable or not. Do you think car break lights are exactly symetrical? Are they the exact same brightness?

Dashboards aren't 100 percent flush (instruments) ALL the time, etc. These are all nitpicky (or seemingly) nitpicky things equiv. to some of the REALLY anal postings here.

Perhaps the bigger the device the more allowances you can/most would make.

If my lock on my car has a little wiggle room - I might ask about it but I wouldn't expect a new car or that there would be a fix for it. But rather there was a degree of tight/not tight for those parts and that it is what it is.

I think my point remains valid when applied to the people looking for every single microbe to be perfect on their device.

If something is genuinely wrong with a car or a phone, of course it should be corrected/replaced. I'm not talking about those types of "arguments"
