The side button on my Series 6 has started to come loose. One end seems intact, but the bottom end is completely loose and sits outside the casing. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix this?

Edit: also, does anyone know if this will affect the waterproofness of the watch (i.e. can water now deep in the watch and ruin it)?

It seems that this is pretty rare. I can’t find many others with the same issue. Price estimates for repairs look to be almost as much as a brand new series 8… so a repair might be useless.

Not sure about waterproofing either but…. I suspect it’s time to start looking at a new watch :(
Ugh I was hoping this wouldn’t be the case. Especially with the series 9 likely coming out in just a few months. I was already planning on upgrading to that, but I might need to upgrade to a series 8 now.

I've definitely not experienced that. Even if waterproofing isn't compromised, I'd treat it as if it were to be on the safe side.

Does the button reseat into its original position or close to it? If so, you might be able to get a thin fit case that will stabilize it in place (or at least make it less noticeable. That might not be too bad if it's only for a few months until the Series 9 comes out.

Fantastic idea! I didn’t even think about just getting a simple case. Thanks for the tip!

The button is essential just a little popped out. I can push it back down, but it doesn’t stay. The button function fortunately still works. It’s really the waterproofing that I was worried about.
