Does this mean then that the current iPhone 4 Otterbox Defender case will work for the new iphone 4s? I know there has been some controversy over the matter, but I bought the universal iPhone defender from Amazon and have not returned it yet hoping that someone can confirm that $16 case will fit versus the new $50 dollar ones.

I've been going back and forth several times over this. I'm just going to go ahead and order the $16 case from Amazon today so with my 2 day prime shipping i'll have it in time for Friday. I've asked Apple reps and the only people who are saying the design is different is otterbox.

Bigger openings

Hmmmm...now im confused

I have just bought a Switcheasy Rebel in readiness for the 4S as it states on their website that it will fit both the 4 and the 4S. After looking at these pictures and comparing the phones to my girlfriends GSM 4, it looks as though the mute rocker has slightly moved on the 4S.

I am now wondering how their cases will fit both?

We shall see when I get them both together.

There are a lot of cases on the market that fit both the CDMA and GSM version of the iPhone 4. They have bigger openings.

That is correct.

Neurobit - Any idea on the effort involved in taking a Sprint iPhone4s to AT&T?

Sprint screwed up and sent me two orders (although they charged me the upgrade price on each) and I'd like to sell this extra one without limiting myself to Spring customers.

If they didn't charge you full price, I think you will be bound by a contract. If you brake it you will be charged early termination fee which will run you $300 or more.
Are they not letting you return the extra phone?

On Edit: Forgot to answer the first part of the question. The phone will be locked to Sprint, so you will not be able to take it to AT&T even if you don't get charged a termination fee, so I would try to return it.
