Is it at all possible to do sideloading of Minimal Host Blocker or any other content blocker on an iPad 4?

I had Untrusted Host Blocker on my iPad 4 in Jailbreak 8.3 which worked excellently. I then took a chance and updated my iPad 4 to iOS 9.0.2 which I regret. I can't jailbreak because I have Windows 7 on my laptop and also in VM Fusion on my Mac. I don't want to go near Windows 10.

There's a user here who jailbroke using Windows XP in a VM on a Mac.

Why can't you use Win 7 to jailbreak?

I tried the jailbreak numerous times on VM Fusion Win 7 with my iPad 4 connected, but when I ran Pangu jailbreak the only option I got was an update button. When I clicked on it, I was sent to an online site that said Pangu Jailbreak for iOS 9.0-9.02 with some Chinese writing and that was all there was. I figured it didn't work with Win 7.

Download the official file from here: http://en.pangu.io/

The latest should fix any of the earlier bugs there were with executing the jailbreak. It will work on Win 7.

Thanks for the link. After some headaches and hair pulling, I ended up downloading IPSW 9.02 and restoring my iPad 4 as new. The jailbreak then worked. After that, I restored from back-up. I'm good to go now. Thanks again.

Both Untrusted Hosts Blocker and Minimal Hosts Blocker are available for ios9 now ;)
I'll leave minimum hosts in place. It's doing it's job very well and I haven't seen one ad in any app or browser since I've been doing it.

Untrusted hosts blocker has thousands more entries that people likely will never need.

I was kind of wondering if you could sideload the blocker without being jailbroken through xcode, since you are able to do that sort of thing now. Might actually not jailbreak if I could get full ad blocking everywhere...

Is it me? I jailbroke 3 devices using Win Xp on parallels.
Yes, I used you as the example. ;)

At the time I couldn't remember your username correctly. For some reason you're in my head as Carl Anga and not Carlanga. And I didn't want to cause any insult if I used your username incorrectly.

oh shucks thanks :)
lol no worries, I barely come here to give real advice anymore, this forum has disappointed me as of the past year and the new board is horrible for multi quotes and other things, so I sometimes just jest when I'm here and not really help, but lately I'm trying to come back to at least this subforum. Carl Anga sounds cool though!
