Sierra Disk Utility

Looking for some opinions on Sierra's Disk Utility:

I know there were plenty of complaints about features being removed from El Cap, which I'm running at work. The only issue I have with it right now is the partitions window is totally unintuitive and seems to almost randomly add tiny additional partitions when you're trying to add or resize existing partitions.

Any insight on whether Sierra does this as well? Thinking on making the leap on my 5,1 and 2013 Air.

Sierra does resolve some issues and it does improve the partition menu too. It seems that Apple decided to automatically fill up empty space with new partitions.

My choice since El Capitan has been to use diskutil from a Terminal prompt. It does exactly what you tell it to do.
