macOS "Sign in w/ Apple" 1001 error

Not sure where the best place to post this, but thinking devs here would have the most experience.

Been trying to "sign in with Apple" on different sites, apps, and I keep getting an authorization/authentication/ 1001 error. I don't think I've gotten it to work yet.

I wonder if I have something set w/ my AppleID that is causing this, or if anyone had any other suggestions.

Could you name an app or website that you're having this issue with, so I can try and see if I have it too? - Could you try logging out of your Apple ID on device and logging back in?

sorry for the rude delay in responding. I literally cannot log into ANY app or website using "Sign In w/ Apple". I'm assuming it's some sort of setting in AppleID, but unknown.

Do you have 2FA enabled and are you signed in to iCloud?

Do you see the authorization prompt?

Yes, I have 2FA turned on and am signed in.
As for an "auth prompt" I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to.. do you mean the request for my Face ID or the password on my desktop?
