iPhone 7/Plus Significant Price Drop Next Week on Older iPhones?

Looking to get a 7+ but I think I should wait until next week. Any guess on a price drop on the Refurbished 7+? Currently $600 but I can delay gratification for a week for $100. May consider the iPhone X or the cheaper 2018 iPhone as well.

I would wait. This year is going to be a twist. I think the 8 will be lower end and a 7 replacing the 5s.

If you buy from Apple anyway, you can price match, exchange or return within 14 calendar days. I plan on getting the Product RED iPhone 8 this weekend just in case it gets discontinued next Wednesday. Hopefully they'll allow a price match when the price drops on the iPhone 8 after the event next week.

All the rumours have been that the current X will be discontinued going right back to even more it was on sale!

There are a lot of ways they can go. I feel confident they kill the X (and the 6s for sure) because if the Xs is $900 as rumored, it would be hard to drop the price on the X to fit it into the lineup.

My first thought was something like this:
SE: $350 ($300?)
7/7+: $450/$570
8/8+: $550/$670
6.1” LCD: $700
Xs/Xs+: $900/$1050

But that leaves the 8+ and the new 6.1” way too close to each other in every way (price, size, specs). So maybe they kill the 7 entirely and price the 8/8+ at $500/$620? Or kill the 8 entirely and leave the 7 as priced above, creating a clear price separation between the new models and the budget legacy models? Maybe even kill the 8 and the SE, leaving the 7 as the only legacy/budget model?

Lots of possibilities. I don’t think any individual existing model is guaranteed to be there this time next week.

Definitely wait. The iPhone 7 Plus should remain in their lineup and receive at least $100 discount, which Apple might even increase the storage As well.

I'm interested in seeing what the price drops are, I have a 7 and did not upgrade to a X or 8. I may consider a 8 this year if the price is right.
