I was curious about RAM usage for one of my Windows programs that runs on macOS via WINE. It's Fidelity Active Trader Pro which is an ancient Windows program that only runs on macOS via WINE.

I ran it one my M1 mini (running Big Sur) and it took up 4.5 GB of RAM. I then ran it on my 2010 iMac (running High Sierra) and it took up 1.75 GB of RAM. I suspect that a lot of the memory is shadow processes running on the M1 along with buffer space for the machine code translated from IA to AS. At any rate, it's an area to consider sizing up on RAM if you use large Windows programs that run under WINE on M1.

How much RAM is installed on those?
On your iMac, boot camp or virtual?
