Anyone having WiFi reception issues on the pro/pro max? My XS max and two iPads never have an issue streaming on my patio, but my Pro max has to be in the zone closest to the router, or it will drop and go cellular. And honestly, even when I am close, I notice my WiFi dropping frequently. I’ve used 700 MB+ data in three days. That’s very unusual for me.

I have not got mine yet . . . But I will say my old X would work all over my 4900 Sg ft home. My Xs Max . . . I have to be downstairs or it goes to LTE. And Verizon sucks in my neighborhood so basically no service upstairs. I was hoping the new 11 Pro Max was like the old X.

Hey, not sure how technical you are but we IT folk need a little more info for troubleshooting. For instance, what frequencies is/are your wifi networks? Most routers now and days have a 2.4GHz and 5Ghz network they put out. Does your router have 802.11AC? If you do have mutliple wifi networks which one is your Iphone 11 connecting to? We need more info on your WLAN setup to see if it could be your wifi or just the phone sucking.

When I had both the 11 pro max and the xs max side by side, the xs had three bars and the pro had two. I'm replacing my wifi tomorrow though, so that might help.

I have had issues with my 11 Pro... Side by side, my X has 3 bars of wifi in every part of my 9,000 sqft residence. My 11 Pro struggles to get 2 bars of wifi. Very frustrating as it is clearly an issue with the 11 Pro since every other device gets full bars.

I may be making a return as my wifi has been just a complete disappointment. My GPS has also been acting completely bonkers.

Wait a day or 2. iOS 13.1 is coming out tomorrow.

I'm connecting to a 5Ghz network on all devices. I have a 2.4 Ghz network as well. The 5Ghz runs on channel 7 and the 2.4 runs on channel 4. They are both hidden networks. The wireless access point is 802.11AC compliant and connects to a gigabit switch which connects to a gigabit router which connects to my Comcast business modem. I have 3 VLANs in my office, however only the wireless VLAN is permitted to connect to the internet. On all my other devices, I can get 100Mb/s down sitting on my patio smoking a cigar. The 11Pro starts getting about 50Mb/s, then tails off and dies.

I'm going to upgrade to 13.1 this afternoon and iPadOS and retest. If it doesn't help I'm going to the Apple store to see what they say.

My 11 Pro Max is crazy fast on my home wifi, faster readings on Speedtest than I've ever had on any previous device - not changed anything else.

Hope you can fix it.

I’m having the same problem with my 11 Pro Max. I will be 6 feet from my router and the phone won’t connect right away. It takes several tries to connect and then even when it does, it doesn’t actually use the WiFi right away. If I go anywhere else in my apartment it barely registers the signal. This happens with other networks as well. My iPad in the same spot running the same ios 13.1 beta has no issues. I chatted with Apple, they ran diagnostics but couldn’t find the issue so I am getting it exchanged since it’s still within 2 weeks of purchase.

There is no channel 7 on a 5GHz network, 7 is in the 2.4GHz spectrum.

Also, it might just be that the 11 Pro is trying to hang on to the 5GHz radio and is a bit far away from the AP for optimum throughput.

Well in my 15,000 sq ft residence I have a hard time holding WiFi in the guest wing... might be the stone construction blocking the router signal...not sure :)

Jokes aside I came across this article comparing WiFi...interesting read

I hate to hear this. I have the XS Max and LTE and WiFi sucks on mine. I have a Netgear nighthawk router and my son's iPhone 7 has no issues staying connected to WiFi. My XS Max does. I have 2.4 GHz network which it stays connected to better than my 5 GHz network. I had it at first connected to 5 GHz network but it kept dropping the connection so I switched it to connect to both. Still issues. Finally I had to leave it on 2.4 GHz.
